Historic Bars of Chicago CoverChicago has some of the best and most historic bars in the world, and the West Side has its share of intriguing joints. On this pub crawl with transportation provided by Chicago Trolley, we'll hit what once was Polish Broadway and visit the following watering holes:

  • A former burlesque theater and inspiration for Nelson Algren's fictional Tug & Maul
(a tavern featured in his novel and Sinatra film, The Man with the Golden Arm)
  • A former betting parlor run by a 6-foot-tall transvestite
  • Chicago's original beer bar, inspiring many more well-known followers
  • A former speakeasy now home to slam poetry and exhibitionism

~ Tickets must be purchased in advance. ~

Only 35 seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
